A list of interesting sites and great people who offer highly recommendable service or products (Berlin area):

FactFinders Berlin – Assistance for foreign journalists. A network of very experienced, sophisticated journalists, researchers, fixers and translators – real professionals! (And I am part of it :-) )

Sauna-mobil.de – a mobile rental sauna stationed in the surroundings of Berlin. If you rent it for a day and night at a deserted lake nearby, it’ll be an unforgettable nature and wellness experience. I strongly recommend it!

Kanuverleih-Vielitzsee.de This canoe rental is located at the same village as the sauna, Vielitz (near Lindow), 75 km north of Berlin. Here, you can rent out a good quality canoe and paddle from lake to lake, away from mass tourism – all the way up to the Baltic Sea, if you like.

Edgarzippel.de – Photographer Edgar Zippel takes photos which are sustainable and timeless. They’ve got a high journalistic or artistic value, digital or analogue. Unusual portraits, too.

WortSchatz.de – David Skogely is an American who’s been living in Germany for more than 25 years. He is an experienced translator and certified English teacher in demand. The friendliest person you can imagine, David teaches his mother tongue with high skill and admirable patience.

Caterina-woj.de – Film maker and producer Caterina Woj makes unusual documentaries, mainly for German television: Stirring true stories from the midst of our society, told with strong empathy and professional approach.

Veltrusky.com – He isn’t a nerd, but has a university degree in humanities. This is probably why the web designer Ondra Veltrusky produces websites which perfectly fit to their owners and users. They are beautiful but sober, with a clear and perfect usability and free of all those superfluous gadgets.

Physio-Bluecher.de. Silke Weiler,  a great physiotherapist and an expert in Osteopathie, has impressive success with her treatments. Located in the area of Südstern/Mehringdamm.
